​[BS080]- Billet Oil Cap S54/S65/S85 ​

Not just another fancy oil cap! The OEM factory oil cap showed signs of leaking many years ago. Some people tried to double up the factory gasket, some people tried using older model BMW caps. Between the warping, magnesium factory valve cover and a leaking oil cap, the S65 really had its share of issues.

​T​his design is a better mouse trap. ​​
The rounded section secure​s the cap to the valve cover. ​The design i​s a single piece of Grade 5 titanium, making it impervious to rust and allowing a press fit into the machined aluminum cap. The cap ​i​s machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It has specific tolerances for the titanium locking pin and the Viton sealing o-ring.
The gasket was of most importance. It needed to seal securely and handle high temperatures. Viton gaskets are custom-made and designed to be replaceable for those monitoring mileage and use.
